Listen, this shoot was one of the best personal shoots that I have been able to do thus far. God gave me a vison a few months back to do a rainbow baby shoot. Of course I had to do some research to find out exactly what a rainbow baby shoot was. While I was researching I came across a post on one of my friends Facebook pages stating that their little one was their rainbow baby. Not knowing what to say or how to ask I asked God for guidance on how to approach her. I didn't want to be rude or insensitive in any way but I wanted to know if she would be willing to participate in the shoot. Once I reached out to her and she said yes I had the confidence to ask another. Through the process of planning we had another participant join us. I was overjoyed. However it wasn't until a month before the shoot that I realized that his vision had indeed been one with purpose. While having a conversation with my best friend, (Nichole Murrell of C Murrells Event Planning, LLC) she informed me that the young lady that she was doing a baby shower for was wanting to do a rainbow baby themed maternity shoot. Immediately I felt God nudge me to contact her to see if she would like to be apart of the shoot. After making contact with he I was determined to do the best I could to make this shoot the best I could for all involved. The week leading to the shoot was the most overwhelming week ever. It it wasn't one thing it was another. I was having financial issues on top of dealing with personal issues (that's another story). So finally the day of the shoot arrived. I was nervous and I wanted everything to just right. My assistant was there with me keeping me to my timeline and making sure I got the shots I wanted to get. Being able to bring these wonderful families together for this shoot was such a blessing. Each and everyone of these beautiful ladies and their spouses have an amazing story to tell. It was a huge honor that they allowed me to capture their little ones. It is my belief that their stories will touch the lives of many. This shoot was meant to bring hope to those that have suffered loss. I will be posting their stories in my magazine and have it printed in the next few months.
